** The $18,000 tax credit is a combination of up to $8,000 Federal tax credit and up to $10,000 California tax credit. Eligibility requirements and expiration dates are different for each program. For each program, additional income limitations, ownership conditions, repayment requirements, and other restrictions, conditions and requirements may apply. Note that only $100 million dollars has been allocated to the California program, so the tax credits are only available on a first come, first served basis.
